Box of Happies sent me the December 2014 box to review. Here is what was inside:
Cage Necklace and Feather Earrings Set (Retail: $16)
I love silver jewelry, so I was happy to see not just one but two pieces of silver jewelry. The necklace is a very delicate sterling silver birdcage without the bottom. It pairs very nicely with the silver tone earrings that each feature an individual feather. No specific artist was listed for either item.
Tassel Keyring (Retail: $6)
The tassel keyring has a gold-tone hardware and key loop that holds the orange tassel together. I cannot tell what the material is, but based on the low retail value, I can assume that is not leather or suede. The orange tassel is a great color for fall and has great style in such a small package.
Creative Window Hanging Mason Jar Lid (Retail: $3.47)
The Hanging Mason Jar Lid by Creative Window is such an affordable, creative way to utilize mason jars for home décor. I use mason jars for homemade beauty products, food storage, and so many other uses, but this lid kit allows me to put my jars on display.
The Pickle Queen Stud Earrings (Retail: $7)
The purple, green and gold stud earrings from The Pickle Queen are delicate and full of style. I do not own anything like these, but I will wear these on special occasions. Because the earrings have a great deal of personality, I will probably pair these with a simple black dress.
Do you want the box?
The retail value of this box is $32.47 plus the cost of the reusable plastic box, which has a retail value that is slightly more than the $28.99 subscription cost with shipping. The best part of this box is that the retail values of the items are not inflated, and this is a great way to discover new etsy artists and online stores. I know that the items are made with love and supports small businesses.
