No funky ingredients . . . no artificial colors . . . no ingredients you can’t pronounce.
So, what are you waiting for? Whip up a batch of this cocoa and cuddle up . . . it’s cold outside!
Recipe makes enough for 3 mugs.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups almond milk (or milk beverage of choice)
- ¾ cup pitted organic dates
- ⅓ cup cocoa powder
- ¾ teaspoon peppermint extract
Warm almond milk on the stovetop or in the microwave until warm, approximately 4 minutes. Once warm, carefully pour milk into a high powered blender. Add remaining ingredients. Blend on high for approximately one minute. Pour and enjoy.
Cocoa with a hint of peppermint brings visions of stockings hung by the fireplace and presents under the tree. But, if you are in the mood for plain ‘ol cocoa, just nix the peppermint. Or, trying adding a shot of espresso for an instantly delicious mocha. Prefer your cocoa sweeter? Add more dates. This flexible recipe can adapt to almost anything your heart desires.
