What is the #ElephantYogaChallenge ?

Elephants have historically held much spiritual and symbolic significance across various cultures. Much like us, they are intelligent creatures who embody strength, wisdom, and patience.
Today, elephants face a serious and saddening crisis. The global demand for their ivory has fed a brutal slaughter epidemic, which claims approximately 96 elephants in their native African regions everyday.
In an effort to do our part, we can help save the elephants with yoga. The #ElephantYogaChallenge aims to raise awareness and support for the delicate creatures that are threatened by commercial greed and disregard for animal lives.
All it takes is three simple steps to do your part in saving the elephants:
1. Strike a Pose
Choose from the Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced pose options on the website, or simply make up your own!
2. Challenge Three Friends
Upload your pose to social media and challenge three of your friends to take the #ElephantYogaChallenge.
3. Donate
You also have the option to do even more by donating any amount you’d like to help save the elephants!
On the Elephant Challenge website, you’ll see the long list of yogis, from Seane Corn to Kathryn Budig striking a pose and doing their part. That’s all it takes to make a difference! Use your yoga practice to make a positive impact on the world by posing, challenging, and donating!
