Practice These 15 Encouraging Mantras to Boost Positive Self-Talk

Have you ever had such negative thoughts about yourself that you ultimately ended up hurting your own feelings? Of course you have, you’re human, and unfortunately, we are our own toughest critics. The good news is that we can learn to incorporate positive mantras in our daily lives that reverse the effects of hurtful self-talk.
Hurtful, and sometimes repetitive, comments to ourselves are typically untrue. However, if you say or think something about yourself enough times, odds are you’re going to start believing it. Meaning that simply by believing negative self-talk, it can potentially become your reality.
Make sure the statements you say about yourself are positive and uplifting ones.
Fortunately, there’s an upside…this door swings both ways, everyone! It should always be your goal to make sure the statements you say about yourself are positive and uplifting ones.
Easier said than done? Actually, through the use of mantras, it’s easy to both say and do.
What are Mantras?
A mantra is a sound, word, or sentence used in repetition that aids in concentration or meditation. A mantra lulls the overactive mind, and helps the user focus on one particular chosen thought or idea at a time.
The utterances or statements used in a mantra can broadly be used by anyone and for anything. It allows you to fully commit your mind to focus on the phrase or feeling you wish to put emphasis on.
How Do Mantras Benefit Us?
Mantras benefit us in a variety of ways. They can offer our minds productive thought, allow us to put all our energy into a particular feeling or idea, or aid us in becoming more present. Further, using mantras can relieve stress, calm the mind, and even help improve memory.
Most importantly, mantras benefit us in that they allow us to turn our thoughts into reality. While we focus wholeheartedly on our affirmations, we proclaim and produce our desires by stating exactly who or what we wish we become, change, bring into our lives, etc.
