What Are the Chakras and Why Do My Energy Centers Need to Balanced?

At the base of the spine with the Root Chakra, we are connected to the earth and matters of being human. This energy progresses up the spine to the crown of the head with the Crown Chakra where we are connected to our higher selves, the universe, and all the matters of being an infinite soul.

Bringing balance to the chakras will also bring balance to your external life. Starting at the base of the spine and closest to earth is the Root Chakra, and we move up the length of the spine with the Sacral Chakra, the Solar Plexus Chakra, the Heart Chakra, the Throat Chakra, the Third Eye Chakra, and finally the Crown Chakra.

These placements and specific vibrations mirror internal and external aspects of life. As above, so below. As within, so without. Your external life is a reflection and direct result of your internal life.

Bringing balance to the chakras will also bring balance to your external life. As within, so without. Your external life is a mirror of your internal life.

Our ancient ancestors understood that everything in the universe is comprised of energy and vibration, and the human body is no different. When we are in alignment and energy is flowing freely and vibrantly, we are more likely to experience grace and ease in life.

When there are blockages in our internal energy, as with a weak or closed chakra, then we are likely to experience mirrored challenges. For example, if your heart chakra is imbalanced or blocked, you may experience physical effects like high or low blood pressure, or emotional effects like not feeling worthy of love or struggling with self-love. The manifestation of the ailment from a blocked chakra can be both physical and emotional.

To balance this chakra: Go with your gut feeling when making a decision or thinking about a scenario. It might sound obvious, but the more you can trust yourself and your intuition, the more your third eye will open and you can develop the gift of foresight.
