Why You Should Be Eating Reishi Mushrooms
As with most healing herbs and foods, reishi mushrooms have been widely used in Asia for centuries. But they’re just now catching the attention of the world at large. Reishi mushrooms naturally have tons of good-for-you compounds, like alkaloids, and have a wide range of other benefits.
Some benefits of reishi mushrooms include:
- Anti-Aging
- Cancer Prevention
- Liver Detoxification
- Brain Function
- Energy Boost
- Lung and Respiratory Aid
- Lower Blood Pressure
And that’s not even all of the benefits! Reishi mushrooms tend to be dried, ground, and steeped in water, but their bitter taste lends them to drinks that mask their flavor a bit. That’s why adding them to hot chocolate has become so popular!
Benefits of Cacao
Hopefully you’ve heard by now that cacao and dark chocolate is actually very good for you in moderation. If you haven’t heard that yet, you’re welcome! It’s so good for you because it’s loaded with antioxidants, magnesium, and other compounds that aid in cardiovascular health.
