MC YOGI is a badass. Part graffiti artist, part yoga teacher, and part hip-hop artist, MC YOGI is redefining what it means to be a spiritual man in the modern age. A spiritual gangster of epic proportions, this soulful man is also adding ‘author’ to his repertoire of titles and talents with his first book, Spiritual Graffiti: Finding My Path releasing September 2017.
 
MC YOGI has built an international reputation on being a performance artist. With his creative wife by his side, Amanda Giacomini (founder of 10,000 Buddhas Project), MC YOGI has performed around the world and headlined every Wanderlust Festival and Wanderlust 108 festival in 2016.

How MC YOGI Found His Path

As an avid traveler and cosmic thinker, MC YOGI never really fit in with the expected way of living life. He came into his spiritual practice after experiencing a troubled childhood and living in a group home for over 2 years. Interestingly enough, it was the Beastie Boys that first introduced him to Buddhism and the word “namaste.” Upon discovering yoga, his spiritual curiosity blossomed and he found solace, inspiration, and a creative outlet in the practice.
 
It was after his first yoga class that he really began to understand what this practice could do for him in terms of healing, coping, and understanding his place in the world. MC YOGI is a character created to channel inspiration, hone his talents, and bring a deeper level of intention to his life work.
 

The Music, the Writing, the Tour

MC YOGI started writing songs at the age of 13, but it wasn’t until after he developed a yoga practice that he was able to find and tune his unique voice for music that is as ancient as it is modern and cutting edge.
 
MC YOGI’s book Spiritual Graffiti: Finding My Path is a memoir that chronicles his journey “from a troubled youth to successful musical pioneer and #1 yoga teacher in North America.”
