With the advent of the World Wide Web in 1990, 80’s and 90’s babies grew up in a pretty unique world. The widely-used internet, and the innovations that stemmed from it, shaped our perceptions of the world around us in very different ways.

I was rarely allowed to go anywhere alone a la the kids in Stranger Things. I don’t remember ever having to use an actual encyclopedia to write a report. I never died of dysentery on the Oregon Trail, because I never played it (although, maybe I’m an anomaly there!).
